Style and Manners Do Matter
This fast-paced eight hour workshop is for teens girls (ages 14-19) who want to be pretty, prim, and proper. Designed to help them develop a sense of personal style and a foundation for successful achievements. This includes how they dress and communicate on all levels with family, friends, classmates and other adults, and basic etiquette. The fun-filled workshop includes:

Introduction to Style

The budding young fashionable ladies will be introduced to the concept of style. They will learn:

The meaning of style.

Why that first impression is so important.

Self Exploration
In this section of the workshop the ladies will actively participate in activities designed to create a genuine self awareness that they can use to build their strengths, minimize their weaknesses and create a life plan for themselves. During these exercises, they will answer the following questions:
• What is freedom - how does it look to you?
• What do your friends think about you?
• Do you know yourself?
• Identify the things that keep you from making progress
• Do you have dreams and goals? If you do, what do you plan to do about them? If you don’t, why not?
• Use the SWOT method to evaluate your Strengths, Weaknesses/Limitations, Opportunities, and Threats
• Make your life plan - develop your road map, a vision statement and plan to guide you towards your future

Discover your Personal Style
In this section of the workshop we do a series of body measurements that determine their body type and to provide suggestions on the fabrics and styles that will enhance their appearance.
• Your individual body type and proportions.
• Your "style" personality for work and casual wear. (Handout)
• How to select the right clothing styles and designs for your body shape and proportions.
• When to use fabrics and texture to accentuate your body's natural proportions.
How to Talk your Walk
In this section, the ladies will learn about their own communication styles and how do determine how other people communicate. This is an excellent basis for future communication both in school and as they progress through life.
DISC for teens - your unique communication style
Learn how to identify the communication style of others and how to adapt your unique style so you can relate to others.
Manners
The bottom line lesson for life - having manners will help make life better, make you more respectful, makes others respect you and therefore lead to a more successful life.

Open Forum
An opportunity to discuss issues, concerns, joys, etc.
• Social issues (attitude and relationships with friends)
• School life (academics, relationships with school mates
• Family life (family relationships, homelife)
